Deep Tissue Massage
Deep Tissue Massage is a form of bodywork that aims to relieve tension in the deeper layers of tissue in the body.
It’s a highly effective method for releasing chronic stress areas due to misalignment, repetitive motions, and past lingering injuries.
Due to the nature of the deep tissue work, open communication during the session is crucial to make sure you do not become too uncomfortable.
Keep in mind that some discomfort is common after the treatment. However, pain is the body’s way of letting us know there is something wrong. If you are in very much pain following your massage, there is something wrong.
Plenty of water should be ingested to reduce the effects of any residual pain as well as aid with the flushing and removal bodily acids that will have been released from the deep tissue during the session.
“I am so pleased to have met Annie. Just like many others, I have that stress that all ends up in my shoulders and neck!
Annie did an excellent job of listening to my needs and tackling the exact areas that needed attention. I leave each session feeling relaxed and motivated to take better care of my overall health. She is skillful and patient. Annie makes you feel very comfortable and able to let go of the stress.
Annie has also recently worked with my daughter. As a jumper in track, stretching is key to my daughter’s success.
Annie worked those long learn leg muscles and helped my daughter to understand how important stretching is to helping her meet her potential!”
